HaliPad Picks | The best Halifax listings for the week of February 18/19

The number of conditional sales is down this week but that is likely due to a lack of available product. We have a number of buyers waiting for the right home to pop up and you can be sure that when it does, it’ll sell quickly - much like the majority of our HaliPad Picks!  Cutting through some of the clutter this week, we have selected three homes that stand out.

14 Four Mile Lane

This is likely to fly off the market.  A semi-detached home of this age and condition, coupled with its relatively close location to the Peninsula make it a hot commodity.  The beautiful kitchen features granite counters, a tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances while you also benefit from the comfort of a central ducted heat pump. The home also backs onto a small belt of trees offering some privacy.  Worth a look, but if you push your price a little higher, you’ll be able to get into an older, renovated detached home in the same area.

2113 Bauer Street

This street has a warm spot in my heart as it was one of the first places my wife and I stayed during our initial visit to Halifax a few years ago.  Located a short walk from various restaurants and pubs as well as the Halifax commons, this little home bursts with character to suit the quaint, charismatic street it sits on.  An alternative to condominium living with off street parking that’s a bonus for the area. Cute as a button with a fenced yard for your beloved pet.

3063 George Dauphinee – Our hot pick of the week

Situated in the sought after Westmount sub-division, this home paints the perfect picture for the young family.  A large lot in a convenient location and a home with a multitude of renovations that’ll allow you and your family to simply move in and enjoy.  The basement offers room to grow although currently undeveloped, but sometimes a blank canvas is the best way to start. The last two homes to sell on the street sold for substantially more than list price.  Let’s see what this one does when the offer hits the table.
